Anouk Otsea
Certified Level 1 GYROTONIC® Instructor
A multidisciplinary movement artist, Anouk was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, Lingít Aaní, home of the A'akw Kwáan and T'aaḵu Kwáan peoples. Ignited by dance lessons, ski racing, and family hikes, Anouk’s love affair with movement began at a young age. While attending the LINES Ballet Summer Intensive in high school, Anouk had her first encounter with the transformative world of GYROTONICⓇ and GYROKINESISⓇ.

After attending Walnut Hill High School for the Arts, Anouk graduated with a minor in religious studies from the LINES Ballet BFA Program where her world was rocked by the embodied intelligence and nuanced control she unlocked through the GYROTONICⓇ method. Under the direction of Debra Rose at San Francisco GYROTONICⓇ, Anouk trained weekly for four years and received her GYROTONICⓇ Level 1 certification in 2020. Since then, she has completed specialized courses such as GYROTONICⓇ Applications for Juliu’s Wrapping System with Debra Rose, and GYROTONICⓇ Application for Dancers with Adrianna Thompson.
Anouk’s years of embodied practices have helped her develop a keen sense of an individual body’s needs. She listens intently to clients both verbally and nonverbally and adapts every session to meet clients where they’re at, while also factoring in where they want to be. In addition to sharing her love for GYROTONICⓇ, Anouk has danced professionally in Chicago, Alaska, and Seattle. An avid skier, climber, and all around mover, Anouk firmly believes in GYROTONICⓇ’s unparalleled ability to increase mobility, aid in injury prevention, and empower confidence in movement at any age.
