Neena Tilton
Certified Level 1 & 2 GYROTONIC® Instructor
With a background in dance—specifically ballet and modern—Neena has struggled with a lower spinal injury from a very young age. Despite trying various approaches to alleviate the pain over the years, it wasn't until her first exposure to the GYROTONIC® Method in Tokyo, Japan, that everything changed. The immediate clarity and freedom she experienced in her body, coupled with the absence of her chronic pain, left her blown away and instantly turned her into a devoted practitioner of the method. This pivotal moment prompted her to pursue certification in the GYROTONIC® Method for her own self-care journey. In 2008, she successfully completed her GYROTONIC® certification in New York City.
During her time in NYC, Neena trained under several notable master trainers, Sebastian Plettenberg, Erika Hassan, Debra Rose, Jackson Kellogg, Billy Macagnone, Kathy Van Patten, and Chantal Deeble. Also, she received specialized training in GYROTONIC® applications for the shoulder girdle and pelvic girdle from Uwe Herbstreit. Neena holds certifications in several specialized equipment – GYROTONER®, Leg Extension Unit, and Jump Stretch Board.
Neena's primary teaching approach focuses on movement and exploration with her clients. She believes that every individual knows their body best, and her goal is to nurture this understanding so each client can make confident movement decisions for themselves. She wishes to help each person refine a sustainable and enduring movement journey that promotes lifelong movement health.
